The Georgia United Methodist Foundation partners with donors, a student’s church, participating United Methodist-related schools, and the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) to award matching United Methodist Dollars for Scholars (UMDFS) scholarships valued at up to $4,000 per year to Georgia Methodist students. UMDFS scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will be open January 1 – March 15, 2024 on UMHEF’s website.
According to UMHEF’s eligibility requirements, students must be an active, full member of a United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME Zion Church, or Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for at least a year before applying. Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time degree program at a regionally accredited United Methodist-related higher education institution in the US. Awards are open to incoming freshman through graduate students, including doctor of ministry students.
